What does grading prep include?
Your written quote defines the scope. Available help includes reviewing centering, corners, edges, and surfaces; recording card details, photos, and visible concerns; and planning suitable protective sleeves, holders, and packaging. CRX’s condition review is not a PSA grade or an authentication guarantee.
Does prep change or restore the card?
No. Trimming, recoloring, pressing, polishing, restoration, and other alterations are excluded. We document disclosed treatments and visible concerns. The grading company independently determines eligibility and grade.
Who submits the cards, and how long will it take?
CRX provides independent preparation. You submit directly to the grading company or arrange submission through an authorized provider. A prep quote does not include third-party submission. Grading decisions and processing times are outside CRX’s control; no grade, value increase, or completion date is guaranteed.
When do I pay or ship my cards?
Only after CRX accepts the request and you approve a separate service agreement, scope, costs, and shipping instructions. CRX prep, PSA fees, shipping, and insurance are separate and require your written approval. Submitting this form does not authorize work, payment, or a shipment.
Can you predict a grade or guarantee a value increase?
No. A visual condition review can identify concerns, but The grading company makes its own authentication and grading decision. Our cost comparison uses prices you supply and does not assign a likelihood to any grade. Collecting goals may matter even when grading does not improve potential sale proceeds.
How should I choose a service level or insured value?
Review the grading company’s current service limits and fees for your exact item. The value declaration and service level are confirmed in your written submission plan; a calculator result is not an insured value or an appraisal. The grading company can apply its own eligibility and pricing rules. Special cards, autographs, crossovers and oversized items may need different arrangements.
How do I follow progress or change my request?
Sign in and open CRX Notify to see your submitted request, recorded status updates and private replies. Reply after CRX contacts you, or email support with your request reference to share changes before approving work. A recorded CRX status is not a live feed from PSA; external updates are shared when available.
Is CRX affiliated with PSA?
No. CRX is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an authorized representative of PSA. PSA independently decides whether a card is eligible for grading and what grade it receives.
